The whole point of Doomsday is to do the Death of Superman. They can't bring Doomsday back just to do the Death of Superman all over again.

And yes, not only did they blow their load by doing Doomsday already, but they fucked it up by having Wonder Woman do most of the fighting. Death of Superman is suppose to be a 1 on 1 brutal fight to the death, in which Superman had to give it his all in order to stop Doomsday. By having the Trinity fight Doomsday, and have WW do the work while Superman is off saving Lois Lane's stupid ass, they ruined one of the biggest storylines to look forward to in a DCEU.

It's cool. I knew what you meant.

What's interesting to me is that the krypton it even being sought after by Bruce in the future means that at some point, the kryptonite got removed from Doomsday's chest. Either that or they found some more of it elsewhere.

But knowing what we know about Doomsday I'd say that spear needs to stay in there if you want to keeep him "dead," sort of like a staked vampire.
