Is flattering. You are either conquered by romans, then you are a roman, or you conquer rome, and you become a roman.
even turks have civil law and latin alphabet by now (yes I know the latin alphabet is recent).

Then you have other Rome like Kiev and Moscow. You have the eagle sign all over the place in the west, often two-headed. Heck, even america has an eagle as a sign. Shame for the common law I guess :P

Languages written with such alphabet with a good deal (beyond 50%, even more with spanish) of latin vocabulary are spoken in the americas.
I wish I could say that to the last romans, when they were witnessing their last days afraid their legacy would be lost.

So you are a xenos. I hope you are not chinese, they liked rome. They called it "the great china".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daqin

Also, when the Romans, Parhian, "Indians" and China were all at their peak, there was an apex of development and peace.
Don't blame them, blame Germanii, Slavs, Turks, Huns, (but these became, in a way or another, romans) Mongolian or Arabs. These destroyed the old world and not only Europe suffered from that. See the 200 years of silence in Persia.

And your point is complete bullshit. Also "rome" was the army, the culture was essentially greek.
"Graecia capta ferum victorem cepit, et artes intulit agresti Latio". The captured greece, captured the captor instead, and introduced arts in the Lazio (the region of rome) of farmers.
The roman knew that. They were just farmers that were good at law and fight, the culture was greek, and it always will be.

And Lucius/Marcus/Darius are nigger names now. Thank the anglo for completely ruining the aesthetic tradition of romance

>the roman elites were actually nordics who spoke and used greek

Why the fuck is Titus not God tier? Or Gaius not High tier?

You don't become tyrant of Rome by accident.

Not much of a Third Rome if you bastardize all their names, huh?

It's a fucking masculine nominative postfix. Russian has declensions too. If we decline roman names we will get double postfix.
That is my version of reasons for

This is me. Literally me. No other character can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This character could not possibly be anymore me. It’s me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this character is me. This character is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this character is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this character side by side, you’d see no difference. I can safely look at this character every day and say “Yup, that’s me”. I can practically see this character every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this character. I chuckle softly as I’m assured everyday this character is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I’ve found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It’s really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it’s almost like we’re identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?

Hate this meme. Rome ended years before GoT was even on the drawing board.

True, but he did himself disservice because he had to spend time building his way up to power. Alexander was born into, so by the time of his majority he could just up and start conquering, rather than do the slow grind of politicking and building prestige Caesar had to do.

Didn't Ptolemy drown in a river trying to swim away in a suit of armor?

Oh yeah, I guess so. Didn't remember and just wanted to round off the ending. He had a hard life.

This is honestly the best part of the show, though it only occurs in season 1.
