This is the cinematic universe of Godzilla, Godzilla 2014 is canon for this movie so Godzilla was an ancient creature and the Castle Bravo bomb was created to kill it

kong seems rather intelligent in this. i mean, much, much moreso than the animal in jacksons version. is the lack of speech the only thing holding back kongs species from acquiring technology? i feel like kong could master fire if he wanted to. not sure about mining though. he definitely should have used the tree as a spear instead of a club, he's smart enough to realize its more effective.
