Great effects, beautiful score. The only legitimate criticism I've ever heard about the film in eight years is that the story is unoriginal, and Cameron flat-out said it was based on Pocohontas back in 2008.

Apes is on a league of its own. It helps that it is based on a real animal. Avatar animators have to go out their way too make something unreal look real which is a challenge.
