It's a sci-fi pew pew pew film like all the other ones out there. It's not ground breaking or anything but it's a fun watch. What else is new on netflix anyways?! Going to watch one of those 100+ new bollywood films they just added? Some random D- level comedy starting people you have never heard off before, ever? The next Adam Sandler or fat fuck of queens netflix only film?

I'd be totally happy with more shit like Spectral and way less of the other stuff I listed...

Wrong way around. The movie was pretty good with nice visuals and sound, but the idea and the science behind it was complete bullshit.
I liked that they at least tried to keep it scientific, but it didnt go beyond reading the wikipedia article about Bose-Einstein-Condensate.
