Basded black science man red pills Bill Maher on China in 2011

Post some old interview shows from just a few years ago. It's surreal.

Here's one where they talk about Trump running for president in 2011.
> believes global warming is real and not a made up idea that is a liberal conspiracy to take all my guns
>red pilled

He drops one though. Bill is trying to say China isn't a problem and Spaceman chimes in saying China was on track to beat us to Mars. Turns on Bill.
Holy shit. I just noticed who was on the end, commenting about military recruitment centers not being allowed on campus because some people thought they were predatory toward college students.
Oh the irony!
>>81305725
Oh yeah. I agree. Was just being snarky.
I think people who deny climate change are blue pilled as fuck anyway.
They are worse than the carbon credit scammers like Gore. At least those assholes see a real problem, even if they are trying to create a new big energy industry while appeasing rich polluters.
Instead of politics, can we talk about how awesome Cosmos is?
Full list of scientific contributions done by Black Science Negro:
1. Being in a silly programme nobody cared or watched
2. Being a bitch about what a planet is
3. ...
>>81306376
>implying educating people and popularizing science isn't an achievement
>>81306147
cosmos is the comfiest space series ever. plus it had a dope soundtrack.
>>81306376
>2. Being a bitch about what a planet is
You mispelt "being right".
Pluto isn't a fucking planet. It's a large dwarf planet. It is a gateway to a whole new world of stellar orbiting bodies. Pluto's discover is the tip of the iceberg of these new discoveries.
>>81306147
does the original go on about how dumb religion is for half the series like the new one does? Because I got sick of that shit, I already know religion is dumb, I wanted to learn something new.
>>81306147
>cosmos
most boring fucking documentary i've ever seen. can't believe people rate it so highly smdh.

>watering down scientific knowledge for unwashed masses to feel smart and important***
Feynman always began his lecture courses by stating that if you aren't prepared to do hard math, you can fuck off from sciences
>>81306725
He inspires kids to get into science. It's about planting a seed off curiosity.
>>81306825
Sciences cares not to 'inspire' anyone. Smart people are naturally drawn to it, dumb ones should get their liberal arts degree and get busy flipping burgers
>>81306556
popsci is one of the more dangerous things there is. it lets people think they know about something when they don't, it allows some kikes to profit off the work of others all the while letting them push an agenda(see: sapiens, a brief history), and solidifies half assed theories into popular culture when there is so much more work left to be done(see: global warming/an inconvenient truth).
>>81306725

>It's about planting a seed off curiosity.
This. You gotta raise the bar somehow.
We don't need this type of elitism. Maybe in higher fields, but you also need to spread basic education.
Eventually there will be less "unwashed masses" to deal with, especially in the fight to keep science funding and freedom to study.
>>81306825
and we end up with
SOLAR FREAKIN ROADWAYS!!!1!!!!111
and a bunch of retards that think science is cool without knowing the most basic concepts

>solidifies half assed theories into popular culture when there is so much more work left to be done(see: global warming/an inconvenient truth).
Please. Al Gore is a politician politicizing science as much as big oil has done.
He can't hold a candle to people like Sagan who are legitimately trying to spark interest and education in the sciences.
It is disgusting that Gore has used popularization of a specific area of science for his own personal profit. He is also abusing the need to confront climate change to cater to the carbon credit scams of his big business buddies. I do believe that man made climate change is a major problem. I don't think Gore and the Dems have a real solution. Yet neither do the Republicans and oil shills who deny there is a problem.
He's a fake scientist just like he's a fake progressive and a fake liberal.

So you answer is to maintain our dependence on a limited resource like fossil fuels? One that is controlled by rich Arab countries who have puppeteered our government to keep our energy dependent on them? They have enslaved us in their wars and religious conflicts. Not to mention how multinational companies are destroying our American land for these outdated resources instead of America supporting its own new energy industry.
>>81307267
Do you like nuclear energy? Because solar has an inherent storage problem.

go back to /pol/, faggot.
