Yes, there are literally cliques. Here in California, the Mexicans had their own clique throughout. It became a serious issue by the time of high school when their "clique" was half of the entire 1200+ school crammed into one wing. If that sounds like an exaggeration, it's not, not even close. All the people who are saying their highschool didn't have cliques went to shitty small schools. My school had 500 students per grade (9-12) for a total of 2000 students. (Which compared to other larger schools isn't that much)

The main cliques at my school were the popular kids/jocks, band kids, black people, mexicans, nerds/weird/goth/druggies/losers/other and theater kids. There was definitely some overlap, the group that tended not to mesh with any other group were the Mexicans. Last I heard my old highschool is like 40% mexican now. When I went there it was probably 20%.

at least at my school, the idea of some of these, like the burnouts, jocks, and stacies existed, but they overlapped so much there really wasn't much distinction aside from what they did outside of parties. I went to a school with about 150 people each grade and most people were in the same economic group though, so that might be why. plus we had only 2 blacks and they were only half breeds.

My high school was like a fight club. Bunch of fuckin animals meeting across the street to fight while people stood around cheering them on. I mean pretty much everyone did it too, nerds jocks girls everyone. There was even this one really ghetto girl that used to fight guys. I watched her get rekt by a huge autist. Her curbstomped that wigger cunt.

I went to a 10% white school and cliques were mostly along racial lines. I mostly ignored it and never really hung out with anyone outside of school and as a result I am slightly socially stunted and love going to places like malls and Wal-Marts and just walking around. I met all my girlfriends except two online. I have pretty bad social anxiety and I hate meeting new people. On the plus side I don't talk to anyone from high school except maybe 5 guys I regularly hang around with.
