Is there a dissonance between what the USA moviegoers likes to watch and what the European moviegoer likes to watch?
What are some films that do particularly well on one side of the Atlantic, and bad on the other?
Well almost every European country watches besides the typical Hollywood movies, the movies produces in their own country/language. I guess thats about it.
Atleast in Holland we watch pretty much the same movies as are being discussed here on /tv/, except for the shitload of Dutch movies.

Yeah we have the same shit taste as America but I doubt The Boss Baby is popular here.
European countries are required to make movies funded by their governments, that's why they make a lot of pretentious crap

Why would europeans or chinese care about american black social politics? It's too regional of a thing. Something like quipping superheroes who fight robots and shit is more universal because quips, having strange powers or robots aren't inherently american in concept.
