Are live action anime adaptations going to be the next big thing after normies get sick of capeshit

We're already starting to see it to an extent, and anime is already fairly mainstream and not as "nerdy" as it used to be.

The problem is that there hasn't been a really "successful" anime adaptation so far. GitS seems to be flopping, and I don't expect Death Note to do especially well (by Netflix standards). What propelled capeshit was stuff like Raimi's Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Dark Knight, etc.

GitS is flopping hard so far, and DeathNote looks nothing like the original source, so I doubt it.

DBZ is popular even among normies. Rappers talk about anime in their songs. It's quite likely that anime will be the next big "nerdy" thing that the mainstream latches on to

do people actually want these? Isn't one of the draws of this shit the actual beauty of the animation? Hasn't decades of cringeworthy photos of teenagers proven the style doesn't translate to live action?

The same can be said of capeshit but normies eat it up

The only live action anime I'd be ok with is cowboy bebop

How young are you? All your pleb garbage getting movies right now are things they've been trying to make since the 90s and 00s

Yeah but its popularity doesn't matter if it can't translate properly to the big screen. It took Hollywood decades to make capeshit work.

>do people actually want these?
nope
>Isn't one of the draws of this shit the actual beauty of the animation?
yes

jews never give up

not defending capeshit, but the costumes were essentially a way of portraying a heroic nude without them being nude, like an olympic sprinters get up, or a gymnast, weightlifter, etc. In somewhat translates to real-life, and can be toned down. Superfluous zippers, buttons, and belts always looks stupid
