Both of these are accurate. However, clinical depression is a real thing and it's not just about turning your frown upside down, making some friends, or finding a hobby you enjoy.

Depression that's a symptom of PTSD is particularly bad, as both of them individually push the individual toward certain mental patters, so when combined they make it difficult to impossible to readjust your thinking without some form of treatment.
