I once had a dream that she was the 12th Doctor, and did a musical multi-Doctor episode with Sixie where they have to stop the Valeyard. I don't remember too many details, except that it was GOAT, Tony Selby was in, but not as Sabalom Glitz, and the Valeyard wouldn't sing.
>>
>>81161267
Is there any doubt Suchet is a Time Lord?
I think this will be a Utopia type twist, the focus of the episode will be on the creepy wood girl, then near the end it will be revealed he's a Time Lord and he will return again later in the series. Maybe he's on earth on behalf of the Celestial intervention Agency to keeps tabs on the Doctor (the basement shite) the Monk worked for the CIA so I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the Landlord is Mortimus. But of course he's likely just a new character.-

I really doubt that he's going to be revealed as the fucking Meddling Monk or the Celestial Toymaker. Mainly because no one would care and the Time Lords are back anyway, so the "x is really a Time Lord and the Doctor isn't really alone" twist will never work again.

If he is a Time Lord, I hope he's a new one. But he's probably a human who's been cucked by the wood girl. Or the wood girl might be his true form.

Suppose it's just memory. The first scene where he's banishing the 2D creatures is pretty iconic, and the second one's from one of Capaldi's best episodes. Underpants, also known as boxer shorts or simply pants, were a type of clothing worn by humans and humanoid species.

Nyssa was captured by the Garm while wearing underpants. (TV: Terminus)

Rory Williams was interrupted by UNIT in the process of dressing and marched at gunpoint into the kitchen wearing underpants – he told the Eleventh Doctor, "there are soldiers all over my house, and I'm in my pants". (TV: The Power of Three)

While visiting his Great-Uncle Mario, the Brigadier stored his underpants by putting them "neatly into a drawer". (PROSE: The Ghosts of N-Space)

The Eighth Doctor wore question mark underpants. (COMIC: The Glorious Dead) Sam Jones knew of this, replying when asked if he might be "divine" with "Gods do not wear question-mark boxer shorts." (PROSE: Seeing I) When Osgood asked the Twelfth Doctor why he stopped wearing question marks, he told her that he too wore question mark underpants. (TV: The Zygon Invasion)

Coach Dawson never wore underpants. (PROSE: Joyride)

The Doctor, shot to death in an Indian fortress. The Doctor, dead in 19th century London. The Doctor, gunned down in San Francisco's Chinatown… And Clara Oswald, paired up with an unpleasantly arrogant historian from Galaxity, forced to witness every demise of the man who changed her life on a succession of re-enacted pieces of human history. A very strange case that will take the time travelling friends to the limits of their endurance as they hunt down the mysterious architect of the false Earths….

Would the Master leave Susan alone? like she would be the one person he wouldn't touch, because the Doctor seemed to show sympathy to whatever happened to the Masters daughter as mentioned by Missy in the witches familiar, I'd assume they leave their families out of their conflicts with one another. The Doctor and Clara are exploring Orbis, capital planet of a system of 1,000 worlds. What they find is a decaying empire led by decadent aristocrats, a population ripe for revolution, and a mysterious caste of masked wise men who discreetly pull the strings from hidden fortresses. Swept up by the winds of history, the Doctor and Clara will have to choose a side and decide what will become of the planet - and the 1,000 worlds revolving around it.

There's a difference between ugly and just plain weird looking. Maisie just looks WEIRD. She's not fat, her face isn't ugly, she isn't an icky neckbeard or a skinny bird. She's just weird looking, in a way that I can't articulate.

Ugly is forgivable. A recurring character being WEIRD looking? Not all right.

I wish I could give better clarification to what I mean. Nardole, for instance, isn't weird looking to me. Bill isn't weird looking, either. But Ashildr is.

The voice is off-putting, too.

That was sort of the joke that I was going for. Say what you want about RTD and Journey's End, but that scene where everyone was flying the TARDIS back home just screamed "family." RTD knew how to make characters feel like actual people with substance and the ability to influence their world. Moffat just makes people up then abandons them when he gets bored with them — and he gets bored with them because he didn't put any meat on their bones!

I don't think that that's what anon meant when he was talking about RTD's characters. And as for Moffat and Holmes — Sarah and the Captain — well, I'll give you Sarah, but don't think that RTD's SJA didn't put a whole different light on the character, and don't think that Moffat's first and only story with Jack at all amounts to RTD's writings for him on Doctor Who and Torchwood. A mother isn't someone who births a child, but someone who raises them. Martha, Rose, Donna, Jackie, Mickey — they're all brilliantly done characters, all of whom are better written than Clara or Amy or Moffat's UNIT team.

>Further making this interesting is that Gareth Roberts is one of the writers of the new series, having contributed four episodes thus far with a fifth on the way. So this novel is actually, ignoring some stray comics and short stories, the earliest-set piece of Doctor Who by a writer to have written for the new series. Giving Gareth Roberts the interesting distinction of having the widest span of Doctor Who writing - 195 televised stories take place between this novel and his season five episode The Lodger.

Even Phil Sandifer had to admit that Gareth is an exceptional individual.

It's what MMO gamers call Elo Rating, a scoring system designed for chess but that can be used for anything where you do lots of head-to-head matches.

I don't know why they call it MMR, but presumably they like things that start with MM or they wouldn't be playing MMOs.

Either way, anon is right that watching The Lodger 16 times in a row while under the influence of psychedelics (doesn't have to be LSD, any long-lasting non-PEA-based hallucinogen will do) is the best way to improve your score, as Arpad Elo himself will tell you. Sandifer also said that about Gareth :
>The sadly defunct blog Teatime Brutality sorted out all the possible issues in Doctor Who canon over here. The piece is as good a take on the matter as I could possibly do, and reveals the rather surprising truth that the single most important episode of Doctor Who in explaining its canon is Gareth Roberts's The Unicorn and the Wasp. From this data, he works up the extremely handy map of Doctor Who continuity you see somewhere on the right side of your screen.

He really is the greatest.
