i enjoyed that you had no pretense of realism, you had open fantasy, from lore, to giant monsters and a hero from legends

i liked zootopia but loved this movie and I had a great time showing the bluray to my family

I think they need to do more stories like this rather than trying to find a message and build a movie around that - see wreck it ralph or even frozen -

I thought the adventure story was center stage here, maybe im just talking shit, something struck me as refreshing about this movie and it sets it apart from a lot of enjoyable movies

I don't actually hate anyone for being another race, but damn, Disney sucks for choosing movies based on the diversity of the characters and not the merit of the story. This story sucked.

Seriously, I don't even know what the fuck this movie was about. Like, thematically. Frozen's "stop the eternal winter" stuff was really about Anna salvaging her relationship with her sister. This was.. uh

The one thing I couldn't get my head around was that they spent so much time building up the father, his backstory as to why he is afraid of and hates the ocean, only for it to be completely moot, we never hear from him after Moana leaves and he just acts like nothing happened on her return.

why the fuck did they advertise the fuck out of that shitty pig that only ended up being in like five minutes of the movie despite being on every poster

The OST is god tier, it's visually amazing, has extremely likable characters and a simple-yet-compelling story that really only needed a few more interesting pitstops along the way to Te Fiti to make it on par with everything else. As is? One of Disney's best.

It was pretty good, I went into it thinking it was going to be another mediocre Disney flick but came away pleasantly surprised.
The songs were all good despite none being truly memorable (your welcome is arguably but whatever)

Unironically the best movie I've seen in a while. It has everything, low/high points, great character, progression, message, amazing visuals, great songs. Don't really watch Disney and thought Zootopia was OK but this blew me away. Kinda odd how it's not more popular, but whatever. Watched it twice in three and enjoyed every bit like it was new. Can't wait to watch it again later on this year.

Well they covered over the aspect that Polynesian tattoos are a life story, they could have at least mentioned the cannibalism in a funny way, there are still cannibal tribes to this day on certain islands like Papua New Guinea and French Polynesia. Disney movies used to have a genuine scare factor to them, now the only bad things that happens are caused by mythical beasts and white men.
