Maps to the Stars was one of the top 5 movies of 2015 and the fact that it was so panned is a perfect example of why critics should all be burned at the stake.

Naturally they disliked the morally-wrecked (I wont elaborate it's a spoiler) hollywood people portrayed as monsters in the movie.

Oh yeah Im also pretty sure the Benjie kid is supposed to be Shia.

I loved some of the movie, but the low production values ruined a lot for me. Half of the movie looks like it was shot on an iPhone by a 12 year old and the CGI is possibly the worst I've ever seen in a non-amateur film. CGI from the 90s looks better.

cronenbergs post 2000 films really arent flashy. i think it gives breathing room for the characterization.
