I loved Drive and hated this movie.

I understand the movie I just think it's message was not delivered in an insightful or innovative way. Lots of really nice shots but not a particularly well-told or interesting story.

This movie is not about the story or characters it's about mood it puts you in. You're being hypnotized. It's like Kubrick's 2001. Don't try to understand it just let go of your analyzing mind let the movie overpower you. It's like a dream.

Same here. Drive was simple but beautiful, this was pretty but a overall mess.

this is my favorite Refn movie. I like Drive alright and thought Neon Demon was seriously shit. most overrated movie last year.

No even Refen hated it when he realized how bad it was going to turn out. That's not to say there aren't great scenes in the movie. The scene where Gosling confronts his brothers killer is brilliant.
