Now, I'm not exactly sure I agree with what he says, but the degrees of heartbreak and sorrow when it comes to mother hood does range quite a bit from father hood. Roose is killing Cats first born son, an experience he himself went through when Ramsey killed his first born son. And yet the emotional connection to these two events, one he's about to commit falls deaf on his ears. How would the plot have turned out if Ned actually was sent to the Wall? Robb doesn't pull that King inda norf shit, so the War of Five Kings more or less becomes the War of the Baratheons. Arya and Sansa go home, Theon is probably going to stay butt buddies with Robb. Varys/Littlefinger would probably spill the beans on Gendry to Ned to make sure he gets to the Wall safely, and Ned would oblige not because he wants to play politics but because he's Robert's son.

the way Onion knight was completely absent from his demise and how his reaction to the burning of the girl was downplayed to almost nothing really made the plot even worse. In the books it's clear, on the show no reason whatsoever (for accepting to name her on his rainbow guard I guess? So progressive and shit).

In the books, a lot of men had made a cruel prank on brienne. (Knights and lords mostly). They were pretending to flirt with her, offer her gifts, compliments, dance with her, etc.. but Brienne is ugly as shit and had never had any attention so she loved it... Until she found out it was just a prank, a bet of sort to get her maidenhead or some shit.

She was crushed...
Then Renly offered to dance with her and was nice to her and all, and after that, seeing an high lord dance with her, she got attention (genuine this time) from people and it made up a bit for the prank on her.

It will probably end with a lot of the population rekt, I think either Jon or Dany (obviously, but the other will die at a sacrificial end, killing the Night's King) will become the new King/Queen of Westeros but its reign will be frivolous, with people dying of hunger everywhere. A lot of the lords will probably lose their strength and it will be a fight for survival, and not power.

If winter ends sooner without the White Walkers, I can see the ending being that in the end, Jon/Dany's rule was a good and fair one, but after its rule, the world of Westeros had countless and will have much more conflicts, possibly bigger than the ones told by the book, showing that human nature of violence, hatred and conflict doesn't change at all even at the face of death.
