why do americans always show up with a 6 pack
if you hang out with someone here you have at least 6 pints, is it implied that the other person already has booze so you can get fucked up or do americans get steamed off 3 small beers each?

He's just coming over to have a beer or two after work with his neighbor. He's not a college kid looking to get hammered. It was probably a work night anyway, a 6 pack was appropriate.

It's the courtesy of not showing up empty-handed, plus then you aren't imposing on the other person when you want something to drink. Plus notice how Phil will show up at Stan's with beer, thus equaling out the universe.
They truly do illustrate the american 6 pack tradition quite well, although the skip the part where both parties take a sip and and stand up to give a round of applause for the Brew master. But admittedly they probably edit that out for time.

Yes to keep with proper tradition the length and volume of the applause is proportional to the quality of the Brew. You and your friends sitting and golf clapping like a bitch indicates the beer is of poor quality and dishonors the Brew master.

>Implying the Brew master can even hear you clapping in the first place.

That's why it's a tradition faggot. Back in the day they would have heard it since it was brewed there in the ale House, but us Americans being sticklers for our culture and it's traditions continue it to this day.
Kind of like how you Brits still worship the queen even though she's worthless now thanks to the parliament and the EU.
