Maybe I'm retarded but the show just didn't click with me at all. It seemed like every episode was just aimlessly trying to pull on my heart strings without any real reason for whatever scene to take place.
I mean some scenes just played off bizarrely because Bojack would basically just say "Yeah I'm depressed and have XYZ problems" then the show would just resume its normal humor and plot and everyone would just kind of reset.
I think I just didn't understand why Bojack was meant to be so tragic in the first place, he's basically a walking stereotype of a lonely man.
