Syfy's a broken machine that can't decide which demographic audience to satisfy.
If they did some day decide the target audience should be full blooded heterosexual males they'd discover that other target audiences tend to follow that trend, but since Syfy's corporate machine hasn't figured that out they'll continue making shitty shows that get cancelled fairly quickly.
