well there i will have to disagree with you. Everything was completely perfect. Every shot was exactly as long it should be. This is a film that stays in your mind. The images get burned in your retina. When you finish it you feel that you have really experienced something new.

Gangs of Wasseypur (5 and a half hours)

I thought it was worth it. The story spans multiple generations over a 60-year period, so it doesn't really linger, and it's got enough variety to keep you interested

I had no problem with the lenght of the movie for most of it, but the actual attack of the village was too long so i watched the movie in 2 different sittings.

Otherwise, it's probably Return of the King extanded cut, and it wasn't worth it

It is not worth it. The whole film drags, on almost a shot by shot level it feels like Leone never wanted to cut a frame of it. It's so sluggish without the cerebral attribute or plot density that makes other long films worthwhile
