whats the twist

>>80916006
This is the scene where it goes from just Jack being crazy to actually being ghosts. The whole film we're led to believe Jack is just insane but holy the the ghosts are actually real!

Plebs.
>>80916016
I didn't realize that was supposed to be a twist. The paranormal aspect of the movie was laid out through the whole thing.
>>80915934
>ttttthe ghost let him out
FUN FACT: if you look at the stuff on the shelves you'll be able to figure out how jack got out. It's funny that years later no one noticed it. Stanley Kubrick hired a scientist to come up with an actual way for jack to escape using the cannes goods...he didn't film it because he figured the audience would get it

Yeah, >>80916016 has it slightly wrong.
This is where the movie shows that ghosts can change the physical world.
Which begs the question why they need to kill through Jack but whatever.

>movie based on book by Stephen King
>golly gee I sure was surprised when it turned out to be supernatural!
>>80916659
It wasnt though. The ghosts weren't real.
>50 years later and people are still fighting over how to explain this scene
