>OY VEY, IT'S BOILING ACID!
Is boiling acid actually worse than regular acid?
>>80883606
I'd imagine. what with it being hotter.
Well the rate of a chemical reaction is proportional to the temperature, so yes
Boiling would evaporate the acidic components, so it would be just boiling water.

Most acids have a higher boiling point than the water used to dilute it. If you raise the temperature enough to boil the water away you can increase the acid's concentration.

I'm inclined to believe the trips over actual scientific knowledge

Wouldn't the fumes kill Batman and jewcop?
>>80884339
Severe respiratory damage at least.

Depends on the concentration, but yeah, it would probably destroy your lungs.
Depending on what's reacting with the acid and whether or not that reaction is allowed to proceed to equilibrium, lowering the temperature will actually generate more products in certain cases. More products, meaning more reactants being used up in the reaction, and thus more "damage" done by the acid.
