Any director that shares Davids Lynch visions or a part of it at least?
I've watched a lot of Chan-wook Park movies and I like the psychotic themed universe and the idea of revenge, but I have yet to find movies that are alike David Lynch ones. Need some good recomendation here , it can also be series.

The eric andre show
Early X-FIles is comfy and strange like Twin Peaks.
If you like Mulholland Drive i recommend Maps to the Stars. Also Nocturnal Animals has shades of Lynch. Of course, Hitchcock, whose work I think informed Lynch's a bit. Vertigo being an example.
Also if you like MD, Bergman's Persona.
Legion had some scary mindfuck episodes.
I remember this being quite similar to Twin Peaks. It has that late 80's weird horror vibe...

Way more flesh orgies than Peaks, but it's a 10/10.
His work is divisive, but Refn has spent half his career aping Lynch, probably most successfully with Fear X.

Guy Maddin?

Just look up any surreal experimental filmmaker and you'll get something similar
Thing is Lynch is pretty unique and most people would say anyone similar to him is a copycat

They don't like TP and XF being mentioned in the same breath.
david cronenberg
I like Lynch's stuff upto the point where the movie literally becomes a mindfuck. Riddles and hidden-meanings aside, I'm not an idiot, but some of it us JUST a mindfuck. It literally has no "meaning".
I think he ruins his own movies sometimes with unnecessary twists into madness.. but.. that's what makes him David Lynch.

Tarantino borrows a LOT from Lynch.
>>80847997
no. that's why he's David Lynch.
he doesn't try to be better, he tries to be more lynch, like a real author should.

When The Sopranos and Mad Men do weird dream sequence stuff they get into the ball park of Lynch more than just about anything else.

Yes, when Betty is giving birth or w/e you get a pretty obvious allusion to Lynch
>>80856083
not that anon but agreed, also Madchen's episode where Don wondered if he actually killed that woman, the motel in 7b, Roger's trip to some extent that whole episode, seeing Anna's ghost as she died, thats a good call, Mad Men in some ways is a spiritual successor to twin peaks as well as the sopranos.
HEY COOP
GREAT TO SEE YOU MAN

Bates Motel.
The Reflecting Skin is similar to Lynch in feel. Plus, it has a young Viggo Mortensen in it.
