I unironically think Attack is the best prequel. It's WAY campy, WAY scholocky, but has some incredible visual style, and really feels sort of Saturday-Morning-Cartoon-ish.

I seriously like Dark Empire for displaying Star Wars like some kind of weird and ugly, nonsensical nightmare world despite Sheevs death and then Sheevs return making it all worse. At least the comic ackknowledged how shitty the New Republics situation is compared to TFA where everything just kind of is with nobody really commenting on it.

Depending on Thrawns book and the Rebels finale I have a feeling like Thrawn will end up doing the same shit as in the old trilogy, just confined to cartoons and books.

I still have hope for some Top Gun in space from the spin-off movies unless Rogue One was a fluke and they just keep doing "character name" movies like Marvels comics right now.

Best case scenario would be the TIE Fighter Anime short realized as a PG-13/adult cartoon or a show about a Star Destroyer crew in the style of Star Trek but as if...
