>Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! It wasn't my war! You asked me, I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win! But somebody wouldn't let us win! And I come back to the world and I see all those maggots at the airport, protesting me, spitting. Calling me baby killer and all kinds of vile crap! Who are they to protest me, huh? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!
>For *you*! For me civilian life is nothing! In the field we had a code of honor, you watch my back, I watch yours. Back here there's nothing!
>Back there I could fly a gunship, I could drive a tank, I was in charge of million dollar equipment, back here I can't even hold a job *parking cars*!
>>80787645
um what? Rambo 2 has like 73ish confirmed kills. Rambo 4 has more?
Is the first one actually good?
From what I've read it seems like 1 is boring PTSD drama without action and sequels are retarded action without any character psychology, when it should be a balanced mix of both
>LIVE FOR NOTHING... OR DIE FOR SOMETHING!
Rambo 4 is the best one after First Kino.

fag
>>80787926
the first one is extremely comfy and not at all boring. If you haven't seen any of them you're all set to watch first blood.

I loved all of them. I agree with you a bit on the third, but it was a nice send off for Richard Crena.
Rambo 4 was one of the most promising movies i've ever seen at the start.
The main character being this broken, cynical, disillusioned man that hates everyone.
But then it turned into the usual shoot erryone etc.
I'm not saying i wanted it to be some deep, philosophical experience, but i guess i didn't want it to be completely mindless either.
It totally fits the series, it caters to it's fanbase, but i was simply let down because the opening was SO good and SO promising, i wanted...i don't know what i wanted out of this movie, but all i know is that it had immense potential and it just didn't deliver for me.
I'm not sure what i would have changed to make it what i wanted it to be.

I find this hard to believe. Saving Private Ryan included more I'm sure. Even if we're talking non-war action films, I think Commando showed more kills.
>>80787007
i love that it wasn't even supposed to BE kino.
it's a trash action flick from the 80's but back then the standards were just higher, so it comes off as beautiful to us.
>>80788692
Sure, the ending was also pretty good.
I'm not questioning the content of the movie, but rather i guess the pacing of the entire middle section.
The movie would've worked better with the same content, but spaced out in a different way.
I think all i really wanted was a bunch of scenes with Rambo himself lost and wounded in the jungle for a short period of time trying to survive before re-organizing and jumping back into the fray.
That probably would've been enough to make me happy and give the middle part a nicer pacing.

>>80788993
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In Vietnam his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well Rambo was the best.
>>80789050
