Why are actors paid so much money when teachers are paid next to nothing?

Capitalism
Most actors never make it big, or don't make it at all, while nearly everyone can be a teacher if they choose to pursue such career.

What about this actor? How much was he paid?
Same reason fat fucks are given millions of dollars and unlimited hamburgers to stand in one place looking stupid and call it "sport".
Murrika.

Teachers are glorified day care nannies. Actors who have been in movies that literally alter our culture deserve to make big bucks.

I'm a teacher and pretty much this is how it is.
There's a combination of risk-taking and traits (personality, skills) involved in any career. Many careers are low risk and low "trait threshold", which in the US describes teaching. Acting is high risk, high trait threshold--you have to be real lucky, or beautiful or amazingly talented to make it big. The average person can't just decide to be an actor and start making $20m/year.
Same with sports and Youtube stars. I understand the above logic so I'm mostly OK with Pewdiepie getting fucktons of money for acting like a huge faggot. It does bother me though when I consider situations like Brock Osweiler, who is likely to be released after getting paid a $10m bonus for having played zero minutes for the Browns, which represents more money than I'll earn over my entire career.

Teachers don't have to suck 100 cocks to get their job. If actors didn't they would make low 6 figures max because everyone would want to be an actor - supply and demand.
