What movies from the 2010's will be considered/ are already considered cult classics?
pic unrelated?
A Talking Cat

very much related. Not the greatest movie, but good enough that I think it could get a following down the road.

Anything with Casey and/or Woody in it is instant kino, like pic related

It won't be remembered at all just like other movies like Sicario that try to ride the coat-tail of True Detective and how it achieved it's gritty realism.

Great movie. I forgot about it.
How is Trip9 cult, it's just Casey doing The Town in his own image. Casey's other noir films are more 'cult' I enjoyed the movie btw, just saiyan.

The Counselor?
>>80613143
Fucking loved this.
I chucked it on while I was just fucking around playing rocket league and ended up sitting there with my eyes glued to the screen.
Really damn cool setting

Universal Soldier sequels by John Hyams
Undisputed sequels that feature Scott Adkins
Ninja 2: Shadow of a tear.
DTV are somewhat the new c-movies in cinema right now.

that film was utter garbage
also they cast two black actors who looked way too similar
i ain't even racist but we weren't sure at some points whether they were the same character or not, there was only one scene towards the start where they're both on screen at once
put pic related on for me and the lads after another anon mentioned it in a underrated thread as "if you liked event horizon, you'll like this" - we all really enjoyed it

This for the flatout fact it had the best made sets of any sci-fi back to fucking alien or 2001. They fucking knew it too, the credit sequence is just slow passovers of the sets.
There were flaws in the other aspects but it was fairly solid with a damn good feeling of mystery throughout, I loved it.
The set design showed me how one singular aspect of a film can be done so right it more than makes up for it's minor shortcomings.
>>80616634
The sets in this movie are awesome. The camerawork and pacing were bad though. Too fast, and not enough character development. A better director could have made a franchise out of this.
>>80617938
Arguably the story is told from an amnesiac viewpoint so backstory is impossible, but I agree that a great director could have done a better job, possibly even epic.
>>80613734
How the hell have I not heard of this? I love both hardy and gandolfini!

Man this movie. Even though I enjoyed it, I don't know why but I feel like this is wasted potential: the movie.
I should re-watch it some time.
