Completely different technologies for different purposes.

Television video was based around NTSC standardization, this format is based on how to transmit luma, chroma and audio information via a radio signal using 525 scan lines per cycle. It will never look good because it was designed for old cathode ray tube televisions.

Progressive video is like a JPG image. Raw video is like a raw image from a dslr, just like a film image.

If you don't understand this, you don't understand your own argument.
