How did Saruman learn from his crows that Gandalf intended to lead the Fellowship over the mountains if Gandalf didn't make the decision to lead the Fellowship over the mountains until after the crows passed and he saw they were heading to Isengard?

Why had meat been previously off the menu? Was there a shortage?

Isangard Orcs had plenty of contact with humans, since they 1. had an alliance with the Dunlandings under Saruman 2.were mostly cross breed (uruk-hai) between humans and orcs (probably by rape similar to rapefugees) ....... So Saruman's orcs knew what a menu is by proximity to humans (in taverns, there are such things like 'traveller's menu' for guests)........

Uruk-hai does not mean "half-Orc." It means "Orc folk" and is a generic Orcish term for any Orc that is especially big and mean.

In a letter Tolkien was asked how Saruman could have bred humans and orcs?
Tolkien answered that he didn't want to go into the details as they are too depressing, but the reader can imagine how it would have went (as the half orcs are born the same way as humans or elves, by the womb)......

Wrong. Half-orcs exist in the books, but the term "half-orc" is never used interchangeably with "orc", while "uruk-hai" is. Half-orcs and uruk-hai are different.

All of Sauruman's half-Orcs are Uruk-hai, but not all Uruk-hai are half-Orcs. It's as simple as that.

Half-Orc, Uruk-hai, and Goblinmen were all terms Tolkien used interchangedly to describe Sauruman's hybrids. All are valid but Uruk-hai is not exclusive.

Oh and before someone says it "Goblin" is a synonym of Orc. It doesn't have any actual racial usage.

In the book the rohirrim even showed the uruk chief some form of respect, when Eomer fought him 1v1 at the end of the battle, when only the chief was remaining alive from the orcs......
