This isn't an anime thread, so don't get your panties into a twist.
But my brother has been telling me to watch Death Note. I'm not an anime guy, but since he wouldn't give up I decided to give it a go thinking it was going to be some faggy Naruto shit or something. I was fucking wrong and I really enjoyed it even though it was an anime. It felt like it combined elements I liked from certain things like Breaking Bad, The Departed and Sherlock Holmes.
So my question is, is there any more movies or TV shows that are like that? Cat and Mouse games, or two people trying to out think each other? Like I said, I don't really like anime, but I enjoyed this one considering. I know you guys know of some obscure film or TV show that does this.
Sherlock i guess

>I'm not an anime guy.
>Did I mention I'm not an anime guy?
Do you ever feel the need to remind that your not gay, when you enter a room?

Death Note is on the same level as that faggy Naruto shit you entry level pleb.
I feel like I know some good examples of what your looking for. But i can not for the life of me think of one. The closest that comes to mind is Gone Girl, but it's pretty one sided in the whole battle of the wits thing and not really what your asking for.

If you liked Death Note I would recommend either Monster or Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor. Parasyte is also very good
