The thing is, the sequel trilogy may never enter public consciousness the way that the prequels did. Could anyone spend hours critiquing an undercooked film trilogy with very generic flaws?

Plinkett's problem with the prequels wasn't so much that they were ineptly made (which they were) but that Lucas retroactively fucked up Star Wars. TFA was in a way classic SW which is why Mike enjoyed it, despite its flaws.

We might see a Plinkett breakdown after the trilogy is over and he'll look back and see what it did to SW on a general level, while also pointing out shit on each movie.

And it is techincally competently made. It's a piece of shit but it looks nice, it has production design, and there are no major continuity errors between shots.
