Why doesn't Donnie make good kino any more?
Warrior King, called The Protector in Clapistan.
>>80454608
The American version apparently cut some scenes and changed the music. I only saw the original so I don't know if the American version fucked it up or not.
I remember there being a pretty great and brutal knife fight at the end of Man from Nowhere (korean movie).
>>80454561
I remember that movie being just a 90 minute training montage.
>>80453334
>Anything
No. Hollywood Jackie Chan is full of retarded editing.
>>80454436
They don't make em like they they used to.
10/10
>>80454708
That's true actually. I should ammend my comment to "Classic Jackie Chan" with an emphasis on fights like >>80454436

I agree for Raid 1, but Raid 2, as much as I love it, doesn't have the best fight scenes out there.

Lel.
>>80454941
I don't understand why some people call this good even if I get the old fight corridor game reference.
It's the typical 1v100 kr movie fights where 50 guys do nothing and 49 guys hit the air or hit their friends and 1 get hit by the "1". Also the "1" is immortal
Does anyone else find it difficult to get into fight scenes in movies since they started training and watching mma?
Unless it's a really stylized movie like a wuxia film I just get annoyed that the filmmakers expected me to believe all this stupid unrealistic shit

That's why Ong-Bak is great. Lots of straightforward knee and elbow strikes. It's easy to believe they're really fighting.

She sucker punches him, had 4 other girl's pulling the chain attatched to his muzzle, and he was low on blood.
I know the film got crticized for muh feminism but I think it did it in a pretty even handed way without having to write every girl as an unnecessarily stronk womyn.
>>80455203
This is why I unironically like the fight in They Live between Keith David and Roddy Piper.
That's what two men in their 40's fighting in the street actually looks like.

>look up this deadly kike-fu out of boredom on wikipedia

>muh realism
You understand nothing about dramatization or film in general, you can watch your sports if you want real fights but art is not about that.

>>80455513

>>80455753
not realism, verisimilitude.
It's problem when movie is trying to portray somebody as a badass in a contemporary setting, but the movie expects me to believe that this involves some wushu shit.
I don't want choreography to be realistic, otherwise I would just watch UFC highlight reels, but like all art I want fight scenes to use reality as a springboard to achieve some cool shit
>>80455107
It's like you didn't watch it at all.

Chocolate.
It's about an autist savant girl who can memorize kung fu moves from films, watches a shit ton of Bruce Lee flicks, then goes to violently collect on debts owed to her ex-criminal mother.
Sounds weird as fuck I know but the fights are great and the movie is good.
>>80455203
This is precisely why I find this to be the best filmed fight scene. As >>80456007 put it, the way Yen highlights blocking and certain grappling and groundfighting aspects really adds to the believability of the fight. It's still chock-full of silly movie-fu and escaping holds way too easily, but it never goes so far as to break me out of the scene.
