so magneto is in charge of the sanctuary in canada at the end of logan right?
>>
>>80390791
there was no sanctuary
>>
why wouldn't he come get them directly, got a fan theory for that?
>>
>>80390791
No. There's no way Magneto would let all of this happen if he was still alive. Also, did you miss the part where they said "mutants are gone"?
>>
>>80390791

My head cannon has Alpha Flight there training and leading new mutants
>>
>>80391119
They also said no mutant was born in 25 years and 3 years ago in that timeline you saw mutant teenagers all over Xavier's school
>>
My head canon is there's no sanctuary or mutants left
>>
No, Magneto is even older than Charles
>>
>>80391178

>and 3 years ago in that timeline you saw mutant teenagers all over Xavier's school

what are you even talking about
>>
>>80391178
logan takes place in 2029
>>
>>80391235
Logan takes place in the same timeline as DoFP ending scene.
Logan (2029) movie says no mutant was born in the last 25 years, but in the scene from DoFP (that happens in 2026) you can seen mutant kids everywhere.
The thing is, don't believe what the movie tells you because not even the writers know what's going on.

>>80390791

Wouldn't he be well over 90 years old at that point?
>>
>>80391291
DOFP ending is early 2000s in my head canon
>>
>>80390791
I assumed this
>>
>>80391291
But Logan doesn't take place in the DoFP universe obviously.

First Class, X1/2/3 and The Wolverine all happened in Logan though
>>
>>80391291

>but in the scene from DoFP (that happens in 2026) you can seen mutant kids everywhere.
>2026

but that's not true you fucking dumbass, YOU'RE the one that doesn't know what's going on
>>
>>80390791
Do you even watch Legion?
>>
>>80391358
>obviously.
Sorry, anon, it does
>>
how the hell did the mutants die anyway
>>
>>80391394
As much as I would fucking like it to be, it really isn't
>>
>>80391380
From the director:
>We are in the future, we have passed the point of the EPILOGUE of Days Of Future Past. We're finding all these characters in circumstances that are a little more real. The questions of ageing, of loneliness, of where I belong. Am I still useful to the world? I saw it as an opportunity. We've seen these characters in action, saving the universe. But what happens when you're in retirement and that career is over? The really interesting thing to me, or a place to dig that hadn't been dug, was the idea of mutants when they're no longer useful to the world, or even sure if they can do what they used to do. Their powers are diminished like all of ours are by age.
Epilogue was in 2026
Logan was in 2029
Get bent
>>
>>80391384

..no?

Whats explained in it
>>
>>80391380
Because DOFP changed the timeline, mutants are killed by the virus in the food instead of Sentinels
>>
>>80391415
Anti-mutant cancer in they corn syrup, nigger
>>
>>80391451

>Epilogue was in 2026

You still have not explained where you're getting the year 2026 from, fucktard.
>>
>>80391510
rewatch the movie and focus on Logan's holographic alarm clock
>>
>>80391451
"Not only is [Logan] different in terms of timeline and tone, it's a slightly different universe. It's actually a different paradigm and that will become clear ... It's a stand alone movie in many ways. It's not really beholden to timelines and storylines in the other movies."

https://www.bustle.com/p/how-long-after-days-of-future-past-is-logan-set-the-x-men-movie-timeline-is-so-complicated-40132

>who was in the right here
>>
>>80391510
This, I think is 2024
>>
The movie would have gone from a 7/10 to a solid 9/10 if
>That augmented hick was a hillbilly Revolver Ocelot, explaining why the fuck they just happened to have .38 specials on them of all things
>Sabertooth was X-24 and mind controlled a la that dumb helmet Logan had during Weapon X
>They actually outright say Charles got the X-Men killed during his psychic fit rather than just hinting at it at the farm
>If it wasn't two and a half fucking hours long
>>
>>80391561
That was said by Hugeman, Mangold (director) corrected him later.

We see kids everywhere, not all of them are necessarily mutants. And the mutants we DO see are also much younger looking than they actually are. In First Class, we see Scott Summers as a boy around 8-10 and that was 1962. In 2026, he should've been in his mid-70's, not looking like pic related.
>>
>>80391493
>ever mutant has the same dna
that's fucking retarded
>>
>>80391561
This said by the director after Hugh Jackman's quote in your post
>Because we take place after all the other movies, we have freedom. That’s all he meant. Breathe.
He corrects him, it's in the same timeline as DoFP epilogue
>>
How did Xavier not die from corn syrup?
>>
>>80391595
You got a link, my doodle? I'm not really trying to argue, I'd love for it to be in the DoFP universe. Just everything so far points to it not being
>>
>>80391626
>every mutation happens as a result of the same X-gene

Actually makes sense.
>>
>>80391605
Does it make sense? not in the slightless, but that's how things are, don't blame me, blame the writers and directors.
>>
>>80391626
It's not that.
The cancer might just kill mutated cells.
>>
>>80391666
http://sciencefiction.com/2017/01/23/james-mangold-clarifies-logan-timeline/
Literally like the first link in google, is not that hard to find
>>
>>80391734
It still says 'possible future' though
>>
>>80391317
Yeah, and he can bend metal with his mind.

What are you getting at?
>>
>>80391384

Legion is officially not Canon in the X-Men movie verse.
>>
>>80391694
Actually, with the article quoted here: >>80391734 it does make a bit more sense. Mangold says 2029, five years after the last depiction of anything in the X-Men universe. Since we know the sodas and tainted products are all supposed to have futuristic wonder properties, it's not a stretch to explain why everyone was looking youthful despite being older. Those "kids" could've been about 20 and the last to come up. Patrick Stewart was also portraying a character 25 years older than the actor is.
>>
>>80391788
You still have other quotes like >>80391451

So far, and till changed, Logan takes place in DoFP epilogue, and the "no mutant born in 25 years" makes no sense.
>>
>>80391585
>They actually outright say Charles got the X-Men killed during his psychic fit rather than just hinting at it at the farm.
>Hinting.
They say it like 3 or 4 times during the movie.

>That augmented hick was a hillbilly Revolver Ocelot, explaining why the fuck they just happened to have .38 specials on them of all things
Revolvers are cool.

>Sabertooth was X-24 and mind controlled a la that dumb helmet Logan had during Weapon X.
>Old Sabertooth would kill Logan.
No.
Also, X-24 being a younger version of Logan is used to send the message of how much the character evolved from his previous self.

No really, what were those niggers doing with revolvers? They had automatic weapons out the ass and pistols.
>>
>>80391920
>Old Sabertooth would kill Logan.
Actually possible, Logan has Adamantium poisoning which fucked up his healing factor and made him get old, Sabretooth doesn't have Adamantium so his healing factor is still 100%, he might still look younger. Not stupid in the slightless

>Also, X-24 being a younger version of Logan is used to send the message of how much the character evolved from his previous self.
This is totally right though
>>
>>80391791

I'm saying that if he even lived to be that old (doubtful) then he'd be near fucking useless due to his age.
>>
>>80391920
why didn't xavier just kill himself then
>>
>>80391857
>Sodas
Doesn't make sense though, in the parallel timeline of DoFP in where they fight centinels they have been doing it for decades and living in a postapocalyptic world, no sodas there yet they still look as "young" as in the epilogue. Face it, it just doesn't make sense.
>>
>>80392242
He sensed X-23 and other mutant kids needed his help.

>>80392027
Revolvers can't jam.
Last resort gun maybe?
>>
>>80392363
The sodas happened because the sentinels didn't happen.
Logan changed the past so that changed the future.

Young Beast says something in DoFP about how you can't never really change the future.
>>
>>80392410
>Revolvers can't jam
/k/ would have a good laugh. It's unlikely to ever happen, yeah, but if you had a faulty round it would certainly ruin your day.
>>
>>80392489
Xavier looks the same in Sentinel timeline as in NonSentinel timeline, same with Iceman. The soda explanation doesn't work.
>>
>>80391449

What are you talking about? Logan and Charles even briefly mention the fight at the Statue of Liberty.
>>
>>80391626

They just added an x-gene suppressant into GMO crops and since corn syrup is in everything (as outright stated by the black guy) the mutant race is 'no more'.

If people stopped eating those GMO crops then there would be mutants again. That's the really depressing thing about the movie, Charles dream really did die. Not because humanity hates and fears mutants anymore, but because they're not even a factor anymore.

Like the guy on the radio Logan was listening to said 'Why are we even talking about mutants?'
>>
>>80393112
Wasnt that in X1?
>>
>>80392580
>Xavier looks the same in Sentinel timeline as in NonSentinel timeline, same with Iceman.
And that means anything, because?
>>
>>80393112
Literally the end of X1, not DoFP
>>
>>80392580
>>80393342
And keep in mind that Xavier develops the Alzheimer's just a few months after the end of DoFP.
>>
>>80393304
>>80393402

Oh shit I got the two posters mixed up. Yeah, Logan takes place in the X1/2/3 universe, not DOFP.
>>
>>80391585
Movie would've been better if it'd been 2.5 hours of Logan working shit jobs to take care of Professor X, finally buying the boat only to have Xavier, in a moment of lucidity, ask Logan to kill him, so Logan does then goes above deck and shoots himself with his stupid bullet.

Written entirely as a very serious drama of two old men trying to deal with their pasts and inevitable deaths.
>>
>>80391626
Maybe, but them all sharing the x gene has been established since X-1

Why would logan wake up in early? The day is june 29th on a thursday, which works for 2023, 2017 and 2006. but like.... look at that clock, that's not a 2006 clock.

>>80393809
>ignore the waking up early part for head cannon purposes

There's no reason he would randomly wake up 17 or 6 years earlier. He goes back 50 and wakes up after 50, that's how it works. The holographic clock is clearly meant to imply it's not the 70's or our time. It's a hint to the audience something is a little more advance.

No he hasn't. He has said multiple times its on its own.

>Why does it have to be part of anything? Why can’t it just be a movie? Why can’t it just be a wonderful story about this character?

>>
>>80390791
Nope. Magneto would've fought tooth and nail against Alkali-Transigen's efforts to wipe out mutant kind. Poor guy was probably killed either by Xavier or by X-24 beforehand.

The mutants didn't deserved this...
