Why didn't the tumble in the van translate through to the 3'rd and 4'th level of the dream when everything else does?
BRAVO Nolan
Because the next dream is only affected by the previous dream

Wrong. Watch the movie again.
And that comment doesn't even make sense given that the tumble in the van would have cause all the dreamers on the 2n'd level to be flying around the room just like Arthur in the hallway.
>>80386630
Because you have to account for the time slowing down. They were tumbling, just much much slower

>Why didn't the tumble in the van translate through to the 3'rd and 4'th level of the dream when everything else does?
Because it's not as powerful as it penetrates layers, which is why they needed 1 kick per each layer of the dream.
That and as >>80387299 said time was much much slower the deeper they went.
>>80386630
Because time is more compressed every time you go deeper. So the tumble was even slower than it was in the previous level. If they stayed longer(much longer) it would have slowly shown

None of this explains it. The van hitting the railing of the bridge caused an immediate avalanche.
Sure the general effects where more muted and slower once they had been translated through a second dream but the music was still apparent when it was played through arthur and into the snow fortress layer.
So there being literally no influence of tumbling or anti gravity makes no sense.

Time and muted effects isn't enough to account for the discrepancy when you factor in the music being immediately apparent as well as the avalanche.
one more question: it's clearly stated that "it was all a dream", yet Salt n Pepa and Heavy D are nowhere to be found. I guess you could argue that the van is a limousine but still
I know this is hard to believe, but it's because it was actually fiction, not a documentary.

So is your love life but that doesn't make it exempt from scrutiny by those more intelligent than you. :^)
Take your hamfisted non sequiturs and go.
You guys over analyse shit man, just enjoy the movie.
