Sorkin is not a good writer.
His dialogue is pretentious and forced.
Good dialogue is like the icing on the cake, it should never be doing the heavy-lifting, as is the case in Sorkin's scripts. I don't think there are mainstream writers who aren as terrible at exposition quite like Sorkin. He's also very poor at structuring screenplays, and doesn't even seem to understand how to effectively build tension, conflict and drama, without having it come off as forced or unnatural.
