>DO YOU LIKE TITANIC?

Let's see how pleb /tv/ really is.
Pro tip: If you say no you are probably a sad manchild who can't admit a movie with strong emotions and romance can be amazing.
It was okay. I could do without the old lady and treasure hunting portions of it. Made it too capeshitty.
>hmm how can we get all these brainlets to see a film portraying a historical period
>I know! make it about treasure hunting!

James Cameron literally made this movie just so he could get a dive down to the wreckage of the real Titanic bankrolled.
>>80334227
that's only like a million dollars.
Such a shitty cliche melodrama. Cameron is a hack.
>>80334277
How is it shitty?

TIL

Titanic is fucking amazing and when some wannabe-tough guy looks at me weird or says "REALLY?!" for liking it, I lose respect for him and know he's an insecure faggot.

This scene is absolutely kino

I feel like the story minus the old lady / treasure parts, the acting, and dialogue are all really good, but the cgi ruins this scene. It would have been great without the grand sweeping cgi camera angles. They turned a good moment into DUDE EPIC LMAO.

>old lady / treasure parts
that was necessary to connect it to the present, and while it's sort of boring compared to the 1912 stuff, it ties everything together.
The cgi could've been better but I forgive it.
>DUDE EPIC LMAO
but it is epic. the music, build up to the kiss, the titanic.. everything about it is epic
>>80333892
>a movie with strong emotions
what does that have to do with Titanic?
>>80334696
i'm sorry love is an alien concept to you
>>80334607
epic for 1996 maybe, but if you want it stand the test of time you cant be randomly injecting over the top capeshit cgi.
I honestly think it could have been considered a classic with only a few small directing tweaks.
