It's a publicity stunt. Glenn, Rob and Charlie are literally "the big three", so to speak. It's highly unlikely that they'd continue the show if either one of them left but if they did, it would be a way bigger send-off than a two minute contemplation at the end of an episode.

A cliffhanger makes for good speculation. Season 13 will probably have the highest viewing figures of any Sunny season opener since its moved to FXX, and mark my words, Glenn will be in it.

The gang came of PDF as relatively unaffected by Dennis leaving. They just shot the RPG and got over it. Frank was really the only one to interject questioning whether or not Dennis is ready to be a father. I was really expecting Mac to speak up, especially sic e he loves him and all but I'm guessing he finally got the message that it's never gonna happen

I hate that we're going to have to wait over a year to find out if he comes back for not

Hero or Hate Crime was good. Nice to see the gang arguing and raging about something trivial, it also marked the death of Mac being in the closet jokes. Just a shame they made too many Mac is in love with Dennis jokes afterwards. Specifically in the finale, which made it kinda weird as to why he didn't say anything to Dennis before leaving

The fact that they tied Dennis and Charlie down so hard shows that it will never be the same show as the early seasons again. They always reference 'schemes' in these newer episodes but somewhere along the line they forgot to just have normal episodes where the characters have fun separate yet connected plot lines. When they do follow that we either get fun episodes like Water Park that are just missing more substantial content, or we get Wolf Cola where the plot lines are under explored and lacking original humor.

I think PTSDee was the closest thing to the earlier seasons we got, which gave all the characters something to do and was generally funny doing it. Hero or Hate Crime was the funniest episode by virtue of locking the characters in a room so it was nonstop dialogue. Episodes like Old Lady House and The Gang Tends Bar were just disappointing in how they turned promising premises into hamfisted plots and characterization that just felt off.

Even if he really does want to leave, they'd give him a much bigger sendoff, or simply end the show. I doubt we're gonna get seasons 13-14. I could see them doing a six season conclusion or a movie though, this finale REALLY felt like they were setting up to end the series soon.

This Wolf Cola and Boko Haram had such good potential but they turned it into a lobbyist damage control talk show parody. They should've had Frank discover that Boko Haram was blowing up Competition in blood diamond mines and he tries to cover it up all while profiting from his competition going under. I think Glenn has wanted to leave for many, many years now. He was the only cast member that acknowledged the drop in quality when season 6 was airing, and during the run of season 8 he was saying he wanted it to end before it turned into shit and that he'd probably quit after season 10.

Obviously he didn't quit there and then, but it's been on his mind a long time. It's sad because he was still turning in great performances, he was the only cast member that has been making me laugh the past two seasons.

Sunny has been shit for many years, Glenn leaving is the final straw for me, I'm not gonna continue watching, the core of the show is the group dynamic and the core group is Charlie, Dennis and Mac.

That really settles it, he must not enjoy working on the show from a creative standpoint if he's aware of how little ground there is left to cover, if any. I'm surprised he's self aware enough to call out the difference coming around season 6, because even though I love every episode up to that point, there's definitely a change from 5 to 6 that is overshadowed by the jump from 6 to 7, or the larger jump to 8 and beyond.

There's a homegrown quality to the show that has evaporated over the years, and while I appreciate them still trying to write a funny show, the original subversion that Sunny had is never coming back. I know I sound ungrateful or overly critical but I can't lie to myself and say the show is infallible (like I used to a few years back).
