Any sci fi films with "Space Age Pop/ Lounge/Cocktail music" type aesthetic

basically anything from the 1950s and 60s?
One of my favs is Bell, Book and Candle with Kim Novak and James Stewart. The theme is basically a Les Baxter rip off.

it's too analogue retro for most people. I personally went on a huge lounge/exotica kick a few years ago. I don't watch many old movies though so I don't know that many that use that style.
Just look up any movie scored by Mancini:

I could see it working in a outer space based Sci Fi movie or a spy flick (though I guess Austin Powers was Loungey)

I'm still waiting for a Connery era Bond throwback movie with exotic locations and a Mancini soundtrack tbqhmfw Tarantino wanted just thisbut they wouldn't sell him the rights to Casino Royale

Why would they sell him the rights? He could just do a Bond movie for whatever studio owns Bond (pinewood?)

more control presumably. you know he would've completely fucked with the source material to make it more Tarantino-esque.
The studio still needs to vet who controls the property.
