How do you even make a MG movie?

The story would need to start at MGS1 but the story of that game is heavily dependent on MG1 and MG2. The plots of MG1 and MG2 games are simultaneously too simplistic to adapt into a feature film AND too complex to summarize in an opening crawl or expositional dialogue.

From an artistic standpoint I don't feel that using cinema magic is going to fly in this case.

You have to get the actor to do it with like one or two cuts for like a solid 30 seconds or a whole minute - enough time for it to get really fucking awkward if you were actually standing there yourself. You have to get the sensation that the real Ocelot spent a fucking absurd amount of time to learn how to do that for seemingly no goddamn good reason other than to show off. Or that it's an act for his cover. Or, and this is my favorite, that he thinks what he's doing makes him a cool guy (and it is cool) but given the circumstances, it is so not cool at all. The actor has to give that same level of idiotic levels of practice to parallel that.
