I am on the fence about the movie. I love Kong/Godzilla and giant monsters in general but, the tone of the movie feels out of place. In the trailers there were quips like it was a superhero movie and it just looks too much like a comedy adventure. Better but thats my personal opinion. Kong has a purpose and as I mentioned before, he isn't overly infatuated with the female lead which is a non-uncanny plus in my book.
