I cried like a bitch

Is there any info as to what happens to Brian in the story? Like will he ever get mentionned again in Fast 8, or will they basically pretend he never existed?
>>
>>80141097
hes living with his son and wife in some beach paradise thats it
>>
That was tbe gayest ending to a movie would've been much better if he hit another tree
>>
>>80141097
In the end where Paul was playing with his kid, they decided that he's getting too old to go Fast.

But they had one last ride before they parted ways, so it was a nice sendoff.
>>
>>80141209
I see.

Sometimes I imagine how it would be the plot twist of the century if Paul's death was faked all this time and Brian actually showed up at the end of Fast 8 to save the day.
>>
Yeah I was actually amazed at how well they pulled it off

I was expecting them to just kill him off shittily

Nah... they have to hidden it from Vin because e was genuinely affected by it
>>
>>80141040
Why are these movies so mundane and unoriginal, yet so entertaining and comfy?
>>
>>80141565
Because they are pure entertainment. They aren't thematically complex but they talk about universal values like brotherhood and family. So they have no problem touching the hearts of everyone; add some sick car stunts to the mix and you have the entire human emotional platter on screen with no pretense but to entertain.
>>
the new movie looks terrible

these movies are like transformers for adults
>>
>>80141565
They're actually really good action movies and you can tell the key people involved truly feel passionate about the subject - fast cars. That goes a long way to put ahead of dumb shooter #476 or capeshit. None of the actors in capeshit for example give a shit about comics, the people in the Furious movies love fast cars to the point of one of them dying while speeding.
>>
>>80141040

why is the CGI so bad the top of his head is cut off
>>
>>80141385
Feels.. It's really sad what happened to him man
>>
>>80141794
>fast and furious
>for adults
>>
>>80141824
Tokyo Drift was when I realized the series was worth its salt. The first one was good but they really hit a chord in me, and I think its the same feeling people got... so now you have 8 movies in this franchise.
>>
>>80141824
and all the actors are friends off set so the chemistry on screen is awesome
>>
>>80141794
It'd be interesting to see how Dom was manipulated to go against his familia.
>>
>>80141040
>"You gonna leave without saying goodbye?"
>Because I am. *flies away*
It wouldve made the movie a lot better tbqh.
>>
>>80141824
That's very true.

People who audition for cape shit read the comics knowing they were gonna audition for the role.
>>
>>80141040
Haven't seen this movie. But i saw a youtube video about how they made him with CGI - pretty cool. Also, when i see this music video i get really sad, knowing what happened to him

>>

This was genuinely sad. I saw this in the theatre with my GF and I could hear how quiet it was and girls were awwing when Paul pulled up one last time.
>>
>>80141097
He left be a family soon in peace.
>>
Wtf is wrong with his face?
>>
>>80141385
How did they do it? Has this re-edited as a sendoff?
>>
>>80141040
in my cinema everyone stood up and clapped after the end song not even american

No its not edited, that is the final scene.

because you are one
>>
>>80142586

just turn your brain off man
>>
>>80141040
I cried because if you look at it from the actor's POV they really lost a friend and in a way they were saying goodbye to two characters. Michelle held back some tears man, and shes not the type to tear up
>>
>>80142586
these movies are about FAMILY you piece of shit

>>80142979
>“I’m not really sure what’s happening with my role,” Brewster said when I asked if she’d wrapped Fast 8. A logical question as she was gearing up to do weekly episodes of Lethal Weapon.
Looks like shes not going to be in it

nothing potrays poetry in motion better and nothing is harder to pull off, to perfectly translate that sense of speed and weight and motion

It's almost as if he's been erased.... erased from existence.

A quote from another movie about a fast car

I thought having CGI Paul Walker ruined it. It wasn't necessary to show his face, just have Dom look over, nod, smile, and drive off. We all know it's meant to be Paul Waker's character, no need to have his rubbery CGI face in the movie.

>>
>>80143775
I think they should go full on Tarkin on him next movie. It could be done with motion capture, Andy Serkis on a greenscreen.
>>
>>80143775
They wanted to appeal to the "memorial drive" faggots
>>
>>80141040
Weird thing about this scene was like it was really good in the sense that they had to do something about his death and they still had more to film and send off his character.

But on the other hand it feels too obvious in the end that it feels more like a send off for his death I guess? Idk hard to describe, but I guess it just felt like too much of an emotional ending to have him split that way, when alls he's doing is retiring from that lifestyle. Like if this was the same ending if he was still alive it wouldve been like a simple, handshake/bro hug, "peace out, keep in touch" and thats it.

Its understandable they basically had to do it this way but at the same time it kinda took me out of the movie cause now its about his death
>>
>>80144035
That's true but what other choice did they have?
>>
>>80144095
I know, they basically had no choice and it was a nice send off. I guess the whole movie was doomed right after his death so they really did the best they could and it was a good job. There really was no other way to do it.
>>
>>80144035
It feels tacked on no doubt but this was probably the best they could do without being too cheesy or disrespectful to Paul Walker's memory
>>
>>80141040
Fuck these movies

It's fucking laughable really
