Is Marvel the worst thing to have happened to cinema? Hollywood is now spending $250 million on direct-to-DVD schlock.
>>80088831
They're also spending BILLIONS of dollar to make comicbook-tier stories on film
>>80088831
No. 3D is the worst thing to happen to cinema.
>>80088897
3D died though. But I agree it was a shitty phase that ruined tons of movies because DUDE LOOK AT THIS DEPTH scenes.
>>80088897
Yeah it is generally awful
I watched Clash of the Titans in 3d and it was one of the worst viewing experiences of my life. The conversion was so bad I almost walked out.
Haven't watched a 3d movie since
>>80088831
Only DC fags would say thing am I right guys.
Go back to plaebit:Dfor those dense enough,I am sarcastic
>$250 million
literally how?
>>80088831
>Marvel cinematography
Meanwhile at DC

I can't believe I was the only person to laugh out loud when they stereotypically progressed from slowly walking towards eachother to going into a plain sprint. Granted, I only read Spider-Man as a kid. He would've forgotten that he can travel 100 feet in a split second with his webs no matter the environment.
>>80089122
I legit must be insane I don't know how a single critic could prefer Civil War or BvS. I just don't get it.
>>80089184
>would've forgotten
wouldn't have!
>>80088831
Disney's Marvel is at least.
>>80089190
over*
>>80088831
The whole Cinematic Universe concept is basically television on the big screen - films as a series. If it weren't for Marvel, I don't think we would have shit such as DC, Universal Monsters, Star Wars, etc. attempts at connected universe shit. In this sense, yes, Marvel opened Pandora's box.
>>80088897
>mfw color blind
>mfw 3D is basically torture to me
haha
>>80089122
>all CGI
dc (outside of the nolan stuff) is shit
>have a good movie (Iron Man 1) because of the work of a legit director with good actors
>copy it 14 times using hack directors and worse actors
>buy reviews
Not just Marvel but the cinematic universe meme needs to die asa`p
>>80089190
I don't get it either. I was legit bored seeing Civil War. BvS is far from perfect but come the fuck on, it's Casablanca compared to this>>80089106
>>80088831
24fps is the worst thing that happened to cinema.
>>80089570
Yes I also watch movies at X2 speeds.
>>80089371
CGI isn't inherently bad. It's only bad when they do it like Marvel movies and it looks like PS2 graphics.
>mfw Snyder diea CGI you only find out after the fact half the time. When. Marvel Disney does it you can tell every time.
Granted it's not too hard to understand what isn't achievable without CGI. What makes me laugh Disney will totally CGI 10 people running at each other flatly in an airport.
As shit as "Batman v. Superman" was, it had fantastic cinematography. There was at least something to enjoy about it. "Captain America: Civil War" had no redeemable qualities and, really, represents all that can go wrong with the MCU.
>>80088897
fuck off with this regurgitated meme
3D can be incredible when used effectively, see: Avatar, new Star Wars films
>>80090821
It was pretty shit in Avatar aswell. The colors are fucked.
>>80090861
no, you're just spouting the same bullshit you read on the internet because you want to be the same as everyone else
3D is a good thing when utilized properly, fuck you and fuck every identical redditor who disagrees
>>80088831
yes
>>80088831
Probably. Cinema is drenched with franchises at the moment, super expensive comfort-zone movies that don't really add anything to the cinematic landscape. It's really boring and sad.
>>80088897
3D was a relatively short phase. It sure was annoying, but it had little impact overall.
>>80090888
Yes. Shit looks dark as fuck. Not to mention it gives headache and is a pain for anyone using glasses.
>>80090888
>3D is a good thing
Sure...if you want to hike up ticket prices.
It's a gimmick. Even "Avatar" is predominantly remembered for "wow, great 3D" because on its own merits it's an average blockbuster.
>>80090888
It adds nothing to the experience, it just makes the whole process of film making disproportionally more difficult, inhibiting creativity.
>>80090821
>>80090888
Why do you defend such a dead meme when 360° kino does a much better job anyway?
>>80088831
No, Marvel is the best thing to have happened to cinema.
Movies actually worth paying for, cultural events in theatres across the country with every release, people actually engaging and talking about film again.
>>80091814
>people actually engaging and talking about film again.
7/10 bait, nice job
>>80088831
It's just a symptom of the "LOLNERD!" Culture, which I think really kicked off 10 years ago by the Big Bang theory.
Once girl "nerds" started hitching to the bandwagon, every Normie in the planet did too for that sweet sweet manic oozy dream girl puss.
As usual, Hollywood and women ruined popular culture for their own enjoyment/ profit.
>>80088897
this, luckily it seems like it might be going away
