That character narration shit is even worse if the main character is a young man or woman with the voice of their future self 40 plus years older. Doubly so if it's some derivative gangster flick so the voice over is introducing you to the two bit hoods like 'this is Joey brickhands, they call him brickhands because some stupid shit' with period music in the background
