What's minimum acceptable percentage of the ticket's cost to tip the ticket ripper?
Trying to cut down on my cinema spending since money's tight and all so I only tipped 40% last time, got some really dirty looks though and I'd like to avoid it the next time
fore me, it's always 47.2%
Always 10% of the ticket's price, so usually 4$.
... is this a msme or do Americans tip on literally everything?

Ticket rippers work on commission so it's best to tip them for matinees or when bad movies are out because they don't make a whole lot during those times.
Inb4: retarded Europeans too stupid to realize this is satire

A little from column A, a little from column B.

I feel sorry for you ameritards who will never experience comfy tv classes in highschool in preparation for our license exams
Maybe this is why we're so much more cultured than you lot?

I'm fortunate that my local ticket ripper accepts blow jobs for tips. I'm not paying an extra 30$ on top of the 85$ I had give to get to that point. Sadly I still have to tip the projectionist 1$ per minute. It's all a rip off

Tipping is completely random.
>Tip servers 15-25%
>Tip pizza delivery 15%
>Tip hairdresser at least 25%
>Tip movers 10%
>Tip bartenders $1 per drink
>Tip taxi 20%, higher if a long distance
>Tip a maid $20 per day at hotel
etc etc, I usually only tip the ticket ripper a buck though. It's not that hard a job.
