What does /tv/ think about the Hostel films? I didn't really care for Saw(2nd was all right) but here the Hostel films are a lot better. Is the trilogy worth watching, or just shitty gore like the Saw films with stupid twists?

Hostel 2 was so terrible I couldn't be bothered to watch 3.

The first one is worth a watch, the second one is not, and I didn't even know they made a third

i loved 1 for its uniqueness and suspense. 2 had its moments like the ebay torture victim scene and the twist.
i heard there is a third that is a disaster not made by eli roth.
all in all the first two are a insider tip for people who like horror.

1st one is KINO
2nd could've been KINO if it wasn't just references to the first movie like 'HEY REMEMBER THOSE GUYS AND REMEMBER WHEN THEY DID THE SAME THING TO THE OTHER GUYS IN THE FIRST MOVIE'
3rd is just garbage, but watch it anyway to complete the trilogy
>all these retards saying 1 is kino
The premise of Hostel is genius but they don't capitalize on it. 1 should've focused more on the mystery of their missing friends and the organisation. Instead the first two thirds are a soft core porno, last third is escaping and learning what the organisation is. In short, a boring fucking movie that wasted everything.
2 is the exact same movie as 1, but with girls as the main cast. Missed opportunity. Should've had Paxton trying to bring down the organisation after successfully tipping off some trustworthy people in the US. Maybe no one believes him and he decides to try and infiltrate the organisation pulling off some James Bond shit. 2 has fun moments by showing off more features of the organisation. The sub-plot with the two new members is great, if they weren't going to focus on Paxton at all then they should've just made them the main characters but instead they only have about 10 minutes of screentime throughout the whole movie.
3 is batshit insanity. It's a direct-to-DVD low budget sequel and it feels like it but it's mad fun. It's easily the most entertaining of the 3, you just have to be aware you're stepping into basically parody territory. You have based Thomas Kretschmann as the villain which is worse the price of admission alone.
The 2nd one was kino if you only count the parts with the business men
>CIA psyop brainwashing violence inducing kukfest
Plays on xenophobic tendencies, gratuitous violence with no real point.
Typical Roth crap? I dunno, I watched them, enjoyed some of the gore, but I can't say they're good.
Wait what there was a third? Oh well stopped after 2
