La noire was one of the most linear vide games in recent times. It had a great story but the game part of it was shit.
Sometimes, yeah. I just started Mafia and it makes me want to watch more mafia films.
Haven't played LA Noire yet (I plan to though, looks awesome) so I didn't know about the film reels. I'll totally use this as a list of stuff to check out.

yeah, there were some really cool bits, but felt pretty limited and got repetitive.

no

Linear is a dumb criticism. God forbid something be straightforward instead of needlessly padded with meaningless side content.

Which films was MGS inspired by? Some Jack Ryan flicks?
I'm rally not here to discuss games themselves, but films they were inspired by.

MGS was inspired by Escape from New York
I wish LA noire offered traditional gta free roam as an unlockable reward for completing the game 100%. The ability to kill any npc and actually steal cars.

There are plenty of collectible cars
