Am I the only one who thinks that Moonlight and La La Land are

Yeah, they were both shit.

I don't buy that the winning of Moonlight is a publicity stunt or conspiracy.

But the only thing that makes me consider that bullocks was how neck-in-neck they were in chances of winning. If Moonlight wasn't going to win, then La La Land definitely would've; none of the other nominees. So the fact they confused the win with La La Land is pretty strange and coincidental than it normally would've been.

Honestly it was just cool to see two young filmmakers sweeping all the awards. Silence was the real MOTY, though

I thought Moonlight, La La Land and Manchester were all really good, much better than anything else this year. I'm happy with how the awards turned out.

I liked them both. La La Land had a great beggining and ending but the middle was boring.
Moonlight was great most of the way through but the ending sucked.

2016 was essentially the year of mediocre oscar bait that the public didn't give a shit about. La la land and the Arrival are the only films that actually had people in the theaters and the latter was only nominated to as a weak pandering attempt for the plebs and was never even remotely a legitimate contender.
The reality is that virtually everyone who is good enough to make a true Best Picture has either retired, moved to tv or can't get a budget unless they want to make capeshit. So this is what we get now.

La La Land was a lot better, most people here haven't even seen it, they just hate it because it's a musical and it's popular.
