Friendly reminder that if you wanted La La Land to win over Moonlight you do not belong here. Moonlight is Wong Kar-wai in the ghetto and La La Land is the pinnacle of dishonest filmmaking. It's now time for pleb trash to go back to r eddit (and yes, r/thedonald counts as reddit).
>>
>>79893643
Friendly reminder that people who like Moonlight are reddit because they're nigger-lovers

Reminder that a white cast and a white movie celebrating white cinema is 4chan and redpilled and belongs here.

So fuck off, numale cuck

The only thing Moonlight (Arguably) had better than La La Land was the script. If we are going for Best script= Best picture then Manchester should have won
>>
>>79893677
>dishonest filmmaking is good as long as the actors are white
ultrapleb please go

>white people are in it

Kill yourself, numale

It should have been a complete toss up between La La Land, Manchester, and Elle.
But we didn't need another riot and that's why moonlight won

Did your mother burn you with cigarettes while turning tricks as a child?
>>
just because the cinematographer said Wong-Kar-wai was an influence doesn't elevate the film to that level you fuckin pleb
>>
>>79893643
They shouldn't have fucked up the envelope, otherwise this argument wouldn't even exist.
>>
>>79893910
Yeah it's better than any Wong-Kar-wai flick.

>be white supremecist
>defend a shit unimaginative fucking musical for faggots and millennials because the actors are white
>think the struggle of "his people" lie in his clammy virgin hands
>thinks that Ryan Gosling needs his support when in reality if there was a button that would end your life he would press it within 3 seconds

I'll paypal you 5 bucks if you can shoot me a pic of a ticket stub because I'll bet dollars over dimes you haven't even seen Moonlight (or Lala land, for the record).
>>
>>79893796
>too stupid to view film through any lens other than what race the fucking actors are
La La Land wasn't shit because the actors were white you moron. Is it possible for your slow, stupid mind to comprehend that?

Of course I haven't. I'm not a disgusting race traitor who enjoys funcing and encouraging subhuman apes
>>

explain then, because it was definitely better than a fucking nigger movie
>>

Someone gonna reply or not? Maybe i was right

racists always strike me as low-IQ, and none of your posts contradict that opinion

keep blaming your problems on a fixation that borders on obsession

very unhealthy. I wouldn't recommend drugs or alcohol to you.

>dishonest filmmaking
ah, there's that stupendously stupid criticism of film, or any form of art, again. kinda wonder if it's the same imbecilic anon who continues to touts honesty/dishonesty as a valid or even sound criticism. also wonder who filled his/her head that such utter shite. is it something Armond White mentioned once?

/tv/ cheat sheet:

If you're left-leaning: GO TO REDDIT IF YOU LIKED LA LA LAND IT'S DISHONEST FILMMAKING MOONLIGHT IS TRUE KINO
If you're right-leaning: GO TO REDDIT IF YOU LIKED MOONLIGHT YOU NIGGERLOVING KEKS LA LA LAND IS TRUE KINO
If you're centralist you may choose between GO TO REDDIT IF YOU THINK THEYRE NOT BOTH PERFECT MOVIES or GO TO REDDIT IF YOU THINK EITHER IS ANYTHING MORE THAN OVERRATED TRASH

You're welcome.

9)Hidden Figures
10)Hacksaw ridge

I disliked both, but I find musicals to be gayer than a movie about gay niggers
>>
I haven't seen Moonlight but I just wanna say Wong Kar-wai is fucking garbage.
>>
>>79893643
La La Land made me really happy when I watched it and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Did it deserve to win best film? Probably not, but then again I didn't see Manchester or Moonwalkers. It was a fantastic production but just had a weak plot/script (relative to other oscat-tier movies)

But it was still better than most films that have come out lately
>>
>>79893643
Friendly reminder that, every year, movie names get closer to kentucky derby tier.
>>
I don't get the hate boner normies on my social media are having for la la land without seeing it, they are equating it to a fucking white supremecist movie. It was just a really fun beautifully shot musical and I liked the characters and related to them. It had a weak second act but the last 20 minutes are really really good with a great ending.

"La La Land" is pretty flick that able to offer ya good time. "Moonlight" is just a better cinema than "La La... ". I have NO slightest idea what the academy tried to do last night, but I really liked the outcome !!!

Moonlight was a better directed film

im not racist and moonlight was overrated. great movie? hell fucking yeah. better than La La Land or Manchester? FUCK NO.
>>
moonlight is a pale imitation of wong kar-wai
>>
>>79893700
>I thought the script was the worst part of the entire film.. It was seemingly a movie about gay black hood life written for a white audience.. The dialogue was cringe worthy.. And as someone the grew up in a "dark" urban area, I've NEVER heard conversations like the ones had in Moonlight.
>>
>>79897600
In what way? Nothing special about it, in fact i'd say some really weird camera movement choices.
>>
brokeback mountain was better than moonlight

It's more complicated than that. Moonlight was definitely the gay cowboys eating pudding movie of the year though.
>>
Moonlight is an incoherent but pretty mess, it is insignificant and will be forgotten soon.
La La Land is definitely better

4. Swiss Army Man

10. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Full disclosure: I haven't seen any of the best picture nominees besides La La Land. I'll get around to it and amend the list accordingly.

Remember that you're arguing with a person or people with serious mental health problems the extent of which would be unusually obvious if you saw them in real life, swearing to themselves perhaps, as they ride the go cart at Walmart, wearing sweat pants, an old dirty t-shirt, and urine encrusted sneakers buckling under the strain of enormously fat legs.

I saw 8/9 of the best pic nominated films. I'd definitely choose 2 over Moonlight. But between the two, it's Moonlight over La La all fucking day.

If you race war cineastes want to argue for a better movie to win at least choose a good one.
