La la land or manchester by the sea could have been the greatest movie in the history of cinema and they still wouldn't have won, but at least have some integrity when it comes to your taste

Couldn't have worked out better desu

I've watched La La Land about 5 times in cinemas now. To me, it's a perfect film. It's beautifully shot, the music and choreography words so dynamically to create a sense of continuous motion while watching it in a way that really shows the strengths of film as a medium.

And the ending is so bittersweet, it's somewhat unfulfilling, but in a way that's better. It leaves you wanting more, just like life does.

Moonlight was great, but man, La La Land is such a beautiful film.

Black film needed to win because ofnlast year. La la land was just 1 year late to take it all.
It would have BTFO spotlight easily.
I haven't seen either film, I just have a strong bias for Goose.
