It was overly drawn out and ridiculous. The only decent part of the movie was probably the degenerate junkie mother's character.

They forced a scene of two young "gay" characters of a Hispanic and a black man. Then ended the movie with those two meeting up when they were adults and them both ending up being retarded degenerates. The last scene implies they hooked up and then that's it.

I saw both movies, and while I liked La La Land better overall, Moonlight had depth and a better message.

In my opinion Moonlight didn't deserve best picture, but it's still a good movie, and it's a better pick than some of the other choices.
