Somebody I know likes to watch TV with me so that's a big reason I watch it.

Another is that it's actually interesting to see what the writers can do in tv/stories in general. They can craft a story that explores a certain character and his traits by presenting very contrived scenarios and the character's actions within them.

The traits of these characters also get you thinking about your own views and actions.

For whatever reason, an image has been constructed math is both impossible for normal people to enjoy and requires a high intellect to achieve, when really all it takes is some basic thinking, and is a great way of developing song logic and reasoning skills. Likewise, literature has been shoved into a similar camp, where only nerds read because lol who cares about learning after you leave high school. Instead of taking part in a pursuit that requires a base level of effort and searching, it's easier to just sit your ass down on a couch or in front of your computer and let the hours of your life slip away while watching some trash that puts some pretty pictures on the screen
